Floating cages
The outside diameters and thicknesses used vary depending on the structural parts to be produced for aquaculture applications.
Technocage directly produces the various components of the livestock structure on its own models and designs, using only tested and guaranteed materials in order to offer maximum safety and longevity.
The stanchions are the result of twenty years of experience at Technocage which has developed a product also suitable for “offshore” conditions.
2 different models are used depending on the use and location of the cage:
– WELDED BRACKETS
The support is in virgin HDPE with welds defined as “butt” generated by special welding machines, specially designed for Technocage.
– ROTOMOULDED BRACKETS
Made of rotating triangular HDPE with a thickness of 8 or 10 mm, it can be filled with polyurethane foam for additional reinforcement and / or to prevent expansion due to thermal excursions.

STANCHIONS
The bracket is an essential part of the success of the cage. Its assembly and its fixing during the assembly of the cage are carried out with a particular technique developed by Technocage. Net change and maintenance are facilitated by a sturdy handrail made up of a 10mm thick pipe.
The number and type of brackets vary depending on the size of the cage and its use in protected areas or in the open sea
Floating pipes
The buoyancy pipes are filled with closed cell polystyrene cylinders to ensure unsinkability even if the pipe breaks.
Cages
The dimensions of the cage vary from 32 to 160 meters in circumference with the Technocage GG200-GG250-GG315 and Technocage GG400 models.
Mooring brackets
The cages can be equipped with “mooring brackets”, to be positioned between two stanchions, in order to increase the resistance of the structure to the tensile loads of the mooring, or when towing the cage.
Sinker Pipe
It is possible to insert PEAD ballast rings around the perimeter of the breeding net (Sinker Pipe) by attaching it to the outer pipe of the cage. The role of the sinker pipe is to tighten the net more when it is installed in areas of very intense sea currents. The weight of the ballast can vary from 10 to 25kg / m depending on the speed of the current on the breeding site.
Additional pipe
It is possible to install a third pipe, very practical when moving personnel on the cage, as well as to give additional safety buoyancy to the structure
HDPE Bird net upports
HDPE net lifter or cartwheel can be installed in the center of the cage to support the bird net. These structures are cylindrical or hexagonal in variable height.
Technocage GG/square
Technocage GG/square cages are indicated in fish farming in sheltered places where the environmental conditions allow for the installation of multiple systems also equipped with walkways.
The dimensions of the Technocage GG/square cages can vary from 4 to 15 meters per side and on request it is possible to build rectangular structures.
